“Design Through Making”
Yumeng Wang is a product and furniture designer from China with a strong focus on material-driven and user-centred design. His practice explores material properties through diverse manufacturing methods, while responding to human behavior in everyday objects and furniture. Driven by a curiosity for material experimentation, he aims to extend material capabilities and apply them in innovative, environmentally conscious ways. He is attentive to user behavior in everyday situations, using careful observation and analysis to identify meaningful design opportunities and develop insightful and sustainable solutions.
